History

Staffmark was founded in 1996 by the merger of six leading regional staffing firms, each an established leader in its market. At the time of our founding, Staffmark had 91 offices in eight states. We now have more than 250 offices across country and are one of the top 25 staffing companies in the United States. Highlights of the Company's history include:

  • October 1996: Staffmark is founded with the simultaneous merger and initial public offering of six leading regional staffing companies. The Company has 91 offices in eight states.

  • May 1998: Staffmark receives ISO certification.

  • October 1999: David Bartholomew, Chief Executive Officer of Staffmark, is elected to the Board of Directors of the American Staffing Association.

  • June 2000: Staffmark operates under new ownership following its sale to Stephens Group, Inc., a private investment group headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas.

  • June 2001: Staffmark announces a new mission, vision, and core values for the Company.

  • May 2002: Staffmark moves its corporate headquarters from Fayetteville, AR to Little Rock, AR.

  • October 2002: Clay Bullock is named Chief Operating Officer of Staffmark.

  • December 2002: Staffmark launches Staffmark Transportation.

  • January 2004: Staffmark launches Output Solutions.

  • January 2008: Staffmark becomes part of the CBS Personnel Holdings, Inc. group of companies.
